Housing and mental healt
The Foundation has been a partner of project HERO since September 2016.
The project is promoted by ASL ROMA2 and has gained Europe-wide recognition within the Erasmus+ program, through which the European Commission aims to encourage collaborations between partners from different countries, building an integrated approach towards a quality of life that promotes well-being and social inclusion, against stigma and marginalization.
The project is part of the “Mental Health Action Plan 2013-2020” promoted by the WHO, and it is part of the United Nations Sustainable Development “Good Health and Well-being” objective.
Six mental health organizations from five different EU countries, coordinated by ASL Roma2, will participate in the project, sharing their expertise in the field of social inclusion for people with severe mental illnesses, as well as training methods and established practices in the world of Housing at European level.
HERO’s objectives:
- toprovide detailed and updated interdisciplinary information to each individual involved in the housing field at different levels.
- providing local communities with a flexible housing model, based on the experience of those who are directly involved.
